I am pulling up what is left of my garden....it was a disaster year with the intense drought we had...
I have a guy coming Thursday to give me a quote on insulating my house...my place is old...very old...and they didn't believe in insulation in the 1930's....and ...with keeping my thermostat on 60 degrees for most of the winter...I was able to keep my natural gas bill manageable...however...I think with the prediction of gas prices for this winter...well...it is time...
I will be spending the next weeks raking leaves, pulling up garden, doing prairie workdays...a few costume events....so...I will remain busy...
and...you know how it goes...the older one gets...the metabolism just goes to hell in a handbasket...and one has to work twice as hard just to stay on an even keel...
