I got slammed with such good news today, I'm still shaking! First I went to the post office and come back home to find a UPS box from my nonfiction book publisher on my front porch. I take it inside and open it and there's this bottle of white wine inside. I take it out and there's something else underneath and I pick it up, unwrap and find the advanced copy of my book. Haunted Richmond, Virginia. I called my editor, Dinah andshe said in 4-6 weeks the rest will be coming in and I will get my free ten copies then too. It's gorgeous--a purplish cover (my fave color), with a neat version done of my photograph of the Richmond vampire's tomb in Hollywood Cemetary. Then this was posted on another group, one who put together some of us authors' horror. dark fantasy and sci-fi stories in an anthology (mine is "Dark Eyes", my Lovecraftian story is in it)) and here's what the publisher got: I need to verify that The Parasitorium: Parasitic Sands has not been published before 2007, that at least 60% of the work is original material, and the aggregate length is at least 60,000 words. Would you also please provide the complete list of included stories and their authors?
Thank you very much for your time,
Eric Christ HWA Stoker Committee Verifier
The Stoker is a great award to win, or even be suggested for a nomination. So I am very shaken at this moment on both of these. JediMistressDragon (author Pamela K. Kinney (also writes as Sapphire Phelan
