I had a lot of fears, but soimehow with God's help, I had been conquering them one by one.
I used to be afraid of the dark , but got over it, now it's merely toleraited. I don't enjoy it since with the lack of depth perception and three dimensional eyesight, it's a bit hard to see.
I used to be pretty scared of doctors and needles too, until one physcian had the wisdom to explain to the terrified 8 year old about what the shot was for. he explained the medical aspects, in terms I understood. Then if you can belive me he ASKED me for permission to administer the shot. Now medical , doctors and medicine in general hold a fascinaition for me. I'm far moe aware fo my body's internal workings and am amazed.
I used to be afraid of water cuz my dad threw me into the pool at age six. I screamed like mad, promptly sank screaming, and came back up took a breath and screamed some more. Noone jumped in to get me either. when I hauled my self out, i was ticked major at him. I think I was more mad and angry than afraid. Age ten the gym class was offering swimming, the teacher saw i wasn't going to get in, so she waited for me to choose to go in on my own, once that happened, I got the hang of it quickly. Now I like swimming and water.
Spiders, ehh. No biggie. I just like them to not bite me, stay off me and outside. Roaches. Oh gak, repulsive, nasty, icky things.
Heights. I don't like them but I REALLY enjoy flying, tree climbing, rock climbing, and jumping off high things. Hedi BASE jumping anyinne. Yawho! I think the biggest fear I have in extreme heights. Looking off the edge of a mile high building. It makes my stomach bottom out, I get a bit of vertigo and a part fo me inside screams "Get me down NOW!!".
Elevaitors. hate 'em. I'd rather take the stairs. At cons, it's all I do. use the stairs. I don't care if the Consuite is forty floors up, I'm hiking. I only tolerate lifts cuz in some buildings like the Petronis Towers in Kulaua Lumpor(Sp?), I have to use it.
So I guess it leaves visiting Coruscant and the Jedi temple out. The extreme heights, high soeed lifts(glass ones even worse) and floating platforms. Oh man, don't get me on one of those. The thought of not being anchored to the ground is not a pleasent one.
