I remember gas at 30 cents a gallon, and a quarter for a 16 oz Coke... but I was only earning 1.65 an hour... and my car got 12mpg... a stamp for a letter was 5 cents, but it took days to get your message across instead of seconds...
My Mom remembers the living in the Dust Bowl in the 1930s... The Simple Life on a farm? How about a house with no plumbing... in the winter...
