I'm embarrassed (OK maybe I'm not if I'm confessing) to tell you I got a Victoria's Secret kimono in one the week before Halloween and made a quick Jedi tunic. (I ran out of time to make a "real" one.....)  And if you mean, shopping in them for real life clothes... absolutely!! Locally, I have found Goodwill to be of the best quality, and Salvation Army to be less so... It may be different in your area. Check their displays and neatness of the stores and you can get an idea. A 60-something lady at our church shops almost exclusively at thrift stores and she always looks FABULOUS! And for baby clothes they outgrow really fast, it's a great idea. Just be sure to wash everything really well (or have it dry cleaned if appropriate). I think I WOULD avoid shoes though....
