I enjoyed the film. I'd known Liam voiced Aslan and thought I would be distracted by that but found that I wasn't at all. It's been too long since I read the books so I don't have an impression of how true to the book the film was. I was disappointed with the costuming, which I found to be medieval-ISH. If they were going for a medieval look, they should have gone all the way and really done it right.
