UPDATE!
We've found news homes for two pets; the chihuahua and my dad's parakeet. One of the gals at his work took in the bird, and we found an animal rescuse place called Precious Pets that was able to take the little doggie. I hope the place we're going to go look at today will allow pets...I don't want to give up any more...especially my dog.
