When I went to Celebration 3 last year, I brought my FX lightsaber and a hilt to wear on my belt. Now the FX, I had to put that with my suitcase below the plane because I didn't want to chance it getting damaged by trying to fit it in the carry-on space. As for my hilt, that I had in a travel bag that I took on board, and I didn't have any problems with it.
