Ismene............ Dionysis mother, right? Oh no, that was Semele, nevermind. Great, now I have to look it up.  But you asked about the pets......... lol! You are thinking in the right time period and area of the world! Ismene is a character in Sophocles' play Oedipus Rex. She was one of the daughters of Oedipus and his wife/mother Jocasta. I picked the name in deference to Jocasta Nu, Jedi Librarian! Oedipus and Jocasta's other daughter is more famous: Antigone [an ti go nee]. I am a librarian for NASA and you should have seen the chatter on librarian listservs and message boards the day after EpII came out. Huge philosophical discussion about the Jedi Code and the Librarian Code of Ethics (ala.org) and about Jocasta's reference technique. It was hillarious. Ismene
