Mistress Enz, that is so true about smaller cons feeling like family they do have their advantages. It has been a while since I have been to a big con. About the time I was helping SheVaCon start the con seen as a whole was taking a large hit and some con's were dieing out. It's been really nice to see new ones form, take shape and grow. Now if we can get them all to work togeather to make sure we have costuming/fandom scantuary we'll be doing great! On a personal level I love the art shows being an artist myself I love to chat with the other artists Master Neesen is right no two styles are exsactly a like and there is always something new to learn. Dealers room is fun but I never have money to spend so I don't stay long. There have been some panels and workshops I try to go to but I'm useuly in the art room makeing sure the art is safe, answering questions on how the show and auction works and chatting with people who wander in looking for me.
