First and foremost is seeing my old friends again! ;D Usually a bit of a reunion for the first half of the first day of say D-Con. I'll have my first costume on within 30 minutes of getting settled into my hotel room. I usually bring at least three costumes (this year I'll have four with a possible fifth costume). After meandering around, I'll hit the dealers room. D-Con's isn't the greatest (crowded, too much of the same thing at almost every booth). I rarely (as in never) find something unique that I've been hunting for on ebay for instance. I end up not spending much if anything at all. Most of the day is spent hanging out with fellow costumers- and I have to admit I love getting my picture taken. I don't think I've ever attended a single panel at D-Con. I'll check out the Walk of Fame (where the stars meet the fans). Again, nice to see them, but I rarely buy a photo and get it signed. After attending D-Con for the last four years in a row- I have two stars' autographs. The evening is usually spent hanging out in the Hyatt lobby checking out the various costumes and mingling among new friends. ;D
