What about gift card(s) from Target, WalMart, or Sears for socks, undies, toiletries, personal items, a comfy bed pillow, etc.?
I think these retailers would work regardless of whether the family still in Atlanta or staying in the Forsyth/Macon area. WalMart would probably be best for accessibility anywhere.
