lol! You can brush them, kind of. Their fur doesn't require it. It takes about a year to train the dreads to grown in about 1-2 inches thick. Then once they reach floor length you just let it grow, grow, grow! The hard part is washing them. These two don't like it. I suggested to their owners that they trim the dreads on their undersides and just let the hair grow loose. Stuff gets stuck to it when they do their business. YUK! So what if they don't have dreads on their underbelly. You have to be practical about it.
I took them for a walk the other day and we stopped traffic a few times. ::tires screech!:: "Look, honey! Look at the doggies with the funny fur!" "What are those? Are they supposed to look like that?" lol! What a scene. I'm surprised we didn't casue an accident. I got a few good pix of them today. I'll download them when I get home.
