and a good peice of advice i got, when you want to start modding/fixing instruments, specifically guitars, a great book to read is "guitar player repair guide" by dan erlewine, its pretty much the guitar tech bible, it explains how ot do everything, and what you'll need ot do it. awesome book.
and from me, dont be afraid to get your trusty phillips head out and pop open those cavities, read that book and start doing your own maintainance, its a liberating experience. right now i just finished ordering parts ot make it a tuxedo LP.
