Yes, there always seems to be one very special kitty with a special personality, intelligence, and/or a special relationship to you. I called Jacob "the cat I always wanted" b/c he truly was. Even though I still have three others that I love dearly, Jacob was the special one.
You hit the nail on the head. Fenway's sister (Ashley) passed away 6 years ago of cancer and I had another cat for 13 years before I got Fenway and Ashley. Obviously, I loved them all very much, and was extremely upset when I lost them as well, but Fenway was definitely that "special" one.
I'm sure there will be more cats in my future that I will indeed love dearly, but I truly believe that Fenway was, and will always be, my "favorite".
And... I'm going to find that children's book you mentioned, Kryy. Thank you.
