. Speaking of skittish creatures, my cat, Philip, is that way too. He's an indoor only cat, and whenever someone comes over, he gives them one look and runs upstairs to the third foor to hide 
. He can only be around people he knows without running off.
He's also somewhat eccentric. He'll lick the walls, tabletops, books, anything, for no reason. He's odd that way. He also is scared to death of laser pointers and flees in terror whenever he sees the little red dot on the wall. I don't know why this is, because he used to like chasing the dot...
