You have to buy $100.00 worth of stuff to get it? Well, I guess I need to start saving my pennies. It's not like I haven't spent that much before! Thanks for the info Nick!

I want the motorized R2 as well, and $125.00 is really not a bad price for it. As long as it works, and doesn't act like the real one, right? Though that might be funny, and it would definitely be realistic!

Guess that is a different R2-D2 than I heard about....well...it sure isn't hard to spend $100.00 on Star Wars stuff...I will have to start saving as well...this R2 will be coming out at the same time as the motorized version.... I will have to get a part time job soon to support my Star Wars habits.... let's see.....$125.00 for the motorized R2 $100.00 for the TRU R2 $70.00 for more material for black jedi costume a zillion dollars for the yet to be release Star Wars Unleashed and 3 3/4 figures... Yeah...time for a second job!!!

WHOA! There seems to be a bit of misunderstanding. The promotion I've heard about is as follows:
Spend $100 or more on Hasbro/Star Wars merchandise at Toys R Us, and you get the Silver Anniversary R2-D2. It does not cost $100 on it's own. It's most likely being released as a promotional tie-in with the 18" electronic R2-D2.

I do understand that the 25th Anniversary R2 isn't $100.00 but never the less...you have to spend $100.00 to get it....I hope it isn't tied into the motorized version promotion because I have the motorized R2 on order from "Reach for the Stars" and since he isn't TRU...I won't be getting the 25th Anniversary R2 from him.... jeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzz........this collecting of 3 3/4" figures is getting complicated...to get Jorg Sacul...you either had to stand in line endless hours at Celebration II or spend $50.00 (or more) on e-bay....now for the 25th Anniv. R2...you have to spend x$....I read on some site (I can't remember which) that they hadn't annouced the dollar figure yet for acquiring the 25th Anniv. R2....but I will just go and asume that $100.00 will probably be the dollar figure... Nicklab.....please keep the info coming on this figure...I never go to Toys R Us...I get all my figures from Reach for the Stars.....so I am afraid by the time I figure out that TRU has them...they will be gone... Mucho Thanks! ;D ;D ;D ;D

I have a couple of friends that I have made in the Star Wars area of TRU, I'll see if they'll give me a heads up or if they have any info. They got such a kick out of telling me that I was in TOY FARE magazine this month, in the Times Sq TRU at Midnite Madness in my Jedi costume. I finally found a copy. My Mom said she saw me on Extra! on TV as well, she got quite a kick out of that.

Too cool.....can you buy Toy Fare magazine at the bookstore or is it only available in the trades? I would love to see it and see you in your costume....your costume has to be fantastic!!!!!
Thanks for any heads up on the upcoming stuff...there is so much out there that I feel slips by me..I hadn't even heard about the 25th Anniversary R2 untill Nicklab posted..... .. I am still working on trying to get my new Star Wars room in order...but the next step it to buy like 400 star cases for my action figures...then when I do get the star cases....the entire collection of figures will be suspended from the ceiling in rows attached to long rods of some sort (still have to check out the lumber yard)....I figure the ceiling is the only place to put all the figures to save floor and wall room for everything else.

It's not a great shot, just a head & shoulders and I'm holding a box w/ the Jedi acces. kit in front of me, I was looking up at the screen with the trailer. You can but it at some of the large magazine stores, and a lot of comic stores sell it, it's mostly about lic. action figures, the cover on the issue is Aug and features Yoda on one cover, (I got that one) or a Transformer. I think it was $4 or not more than $5 .

Hey...it is worth $5.00 for a picture of a Jedi Assembly member in a magazine!! I am heading to see AOTC again today (viewing #5...I have a bad feeling it will be leaving theaters in the area soon) and will stop at the local "Borders" book store...hopefully they will have it....

Hey Schph! You might want to get some 1 1/4" dowel/closet rods to hang the figures from. They are fairly lightweight, and I think they come in sizes up to 10 or 12 feet. And you can get a stain grade, so they would look really nice, and would also be srtong enough to hold quite a few figures. Not that they weigh that much, but it sounds like you have a lot!!! They only problem is finding hangers that will fit on the dowel AND the figure. Ah, another woman who knows how to use power tools and do stuff herself.....................YEAH!! I really think hanging your figures from the ceiling is a great idea.....mind if I steal it? ;D

Hey...no problem...steal away...the ceiling is really is the only logical place left to put stuff-I took the trouble to wallpaper the walls in that room with a space/galaxy wallpaper with a dark, dark, blue background...then painted the ceiling to match the background of the paper and I don't want to cover it all up. I think that I will use dowel or very small moulding and paint it the same color as the ceiling so the rods kind of disappear. The room is 17' x 17' so I will have to do each row in two pieces...maybe leave a little "corridor" down the middle. Yes, I have quite a few action figures(around 400 now). And they ain't going nowhere (they are in boxes right now) until I can get star cases for them. I thought at first that the new figures were slightly larger...but they still fit into the Star Case. This whole thing will be my winter project...and yes...tools are my passion!!! I have an industrial jig saw, router, router table, rotary tool, circular saw, several kinds of drills, chainsaw, and a full box of hand tools....... now if only I could sew as well as I can handle a jigsaw!!!
