My favorite Star Wars item is my life-size R2D2...it is actually one of those big R2 Units that were used as a cooler in stores when Phantom Menace was out. But the coolest thing I have is one of those Destroyer Droid room alarms that are heat sensing and when you walk past it the droid stands up and shoots at you.....way cooler stuff than when I was a kid....hoola hoops had just came out when I was young!!!

Not strange at all Exrael.... If your friend who gave you the lightsaber is a jedi too, you two have participated in a Jedi tradition called Concordance of Fealty. Mace Windu was given a lightsaber by Eeth Koth and when Mace eventually returned it he said. "Master Eeth Koth, I have something to return to you. It is a product of your own hands which you once entrusted to mine. In returning this lightsaber, I return your trust".
So....you have participated in a grand tradition...just remember the words if you return your friends lightsaber. A friend of mine built me a lightsaber as a gift. When I completed my own, by my hands, I returned my friends to him with those exact words.

I didn't know that, thank you. Once I build my own saber I will surely give it back to him.

That's neat Schph!! Where did you find that info....just curious!
My most precious SW possession right now is pretty mundane, but it's the best thing I have. It's the Collector's Edition LEGOS X-wing! I put it together right after we moved, and it looks really cool! Now I just need to find a place to display it...........

That tradition was on the starwars.com site awhile back..since someone made me my first lightsaber and I was in the midst of making my own, I remembered it. I am trying to keep a folder of little known facts and traditions, and I thought the Concordance of Fealty was worth saving.

Okay, I finally have something cool to list here.........our new SW Yoda guitar! Well, I don't physically have it yet, but I will by the end of the year. It's a real collectible too...only 65 will be made. Solorad is not going to play it, so we need to find some way to display it. I told him that we didn't spend $1000.00 on a guitar so it can sit in its case for the rest of our lives . We're thinking of building one of those glass display cases that you see in the Hard Rock Cafe, or something like that. Might be to heavy though. Anyone have any ideas?

That sounds like a beautiful idea. That would keep it safe and show it off.

I have a hand carved pottery mug of Chewbacca that I got in 1977 in Chicago. It has traveled all over with me as I have moved and never got broken. Afriend bought it for me and paid $5.50 for it then....I can imagine what it is worth today. I saw on an interview with George Lucas and he has one of them too and said that it was his favorite....... I also have a oil painting of Qui-Gon that I am really fond of too.

ooooooooooooooooooh.....
Emerita....sounds neat....
If you want to see what it is worth...you can always watch e-bay for a similar item or write into Steve Sansweet in the Insider.....he answers some letters on collecting in each issue.....not that you would part with it...but it is always kinda neat to know if your stuff is worth a lot....
sounds neat.
