Hello!
This question hasn't been posed for some years (more than 6), so I wanted to ask again...concerning Jedi colors.
I am not advocating or petitioning a change to TJA requirements/policy, but simply would like a clarification (or perhaps to start a conversation)...especially considering the debut of the new films.
I completely understand the desire to have "earth tone browns" as the only option for membership to TJA. After all, with the exception of a few face characters, the vast majority of Jedi seen in the prequel films wears various shades of brown. I have no problem with this...and am "old school" myself, and prefer the shades of brown concept too. This has also been a hotly debated topic at the Rebel Legion, with many fervent costumers demanding (what amounts to) acceptance of any and all colors. To address this concern, the RL has expanded requirements to include other colors. The problem with this is, colors are rather subjective. And then the "aggressive debates" start (to borrow from ATOC). And the argument, at the RL, continues.
However, I would say that membership in TJA could benefit if other earth tone colors were accepted (I might say colors that would include grays (perhaps extending to black), white and maybe even some of the more muted colors seen in the fall of the year, that might include some dark/muted greens, yellows and blues. I really only mention this because....there are about five Jedi in my state with about 5-6 more being made at this time (and which are being made for the debut of TFA). As it is, only three of these roughly 11 costumes are eligible for TJA membership. If the colors of Jedi costumes were expanded, then these other Jedi would be eligible for membership. Maybe TJA should have a new conversation regarding Jedi colors, especially with the advent of a whole new series of films?
Thank you for your time and attention.
