According to the Temple of the Jedi Order it states they believe:
''In the Force, and in the inherent worth of all life within it.''
Under this philosophical stance it may be said that everything is essentially alive, albeit, at different levels of evolution brought about through previous experiences. This I fully concur with although I'm not sure those folks at SETI would approve of such a proposition! However, this belief has indeed been echoed by many of the world's greatest mind's and essentially confirms that life is a universal expression. At would appear that the ancients were many centuries ahead of modern scientists by their simple recognition of the Greatest Living Being in this Solar System was - the Sun. That it was from this Source that we derive the very energies necessary for our survival and continued existence. In many ways it is true that the very Stars themselves are mighty Cosmic Batteries filled with the Living Force, which the ancients referred to as Universal Life Energies. Some ask how these energies can come from the Sun and yet be universal? They come - through the Sun - from a Universal Supply of Energy. And the Cosmos is full of Cosmic Forces which we are only just beginning to understand and use.
As the Jedi become at one with the living force this Unity with natures finer forces allows them to manipulate subtle forces hitherto unexplored to those uninitiated among us. With the control of such forces upon the mental level must come the realisation that Sun's - are themselves mighty Force God's! It must come as no surprise that the major source of their Force Power comes from the very Stars themselves!
