As i mentioned on facebook, here is the saberfit challenge
I would like to issue a fun challenge to everyone on the forums, both novices and masters of saber combat.
We all became addicted to sabers because well lets face it, we love star wars. We want to be darth vader, luke skywalker, corran horn, kyle katarn, or obi wan kenobi on some primal level of our fandom.
A lot of the videos we all see online are simple spinning videos, which don’t get me wrong, are pretty epic.
And we all love to dissect the seven forms of lightsaber combat in the way of the saber threads, and we all love to watch videos with lightsabers....its an addiction really.
I think it would be brilliant to see more videos from everyone, all skill levels, all styles. Our lightsabers do not have to be just for show, they are for use!
What I am proposing, is that everyone start making an effort to document their practice, not an entire session mind you, but small clips, thirty seconds, a minute, two minutes whatever. As long as we all do it on a regular basis, document it, put the date in the title, who you are and what style you are going for.
We are part of one of the most amazing online communities I have ever encountered, everyone helps everyone out, that is so so so incredibly rare these days.
So lets help each other out with this. Take your videos, and post them up on a regular basis, every week, two weeks, a month, as long as its consistent, because it gives us a good record of progression we can all look at. Dont worry if someone is better at one thing than you, or you cant quite pull off a move you have been working on, thats what this is for. Sometimes a couple of words of encouragement can push you to try harder, and really excel at what you are attempting.
My first video here for submission.
