I like light weight cotton gauze veils, keep my head & neck from sunburn.

Thanks for the photos! I'll have to try those. Still not sure if I'll be going to Pensic since it depends on what my friends are doing, but the costuming is fun.
I finally found some dusty blue polyester/wool that I can use to make a drag-Gaius costume for DragonCon from 'Merlin'. If anyone asks about the sex change, I can always say it's Merlin's fault.

Good looking garb, Kai. The older I get, the more I like the earlier periods in garb, going back to my roots I guess. The middle years with MSR, I tended to wear Italians, my early years I wore mostly Agnlo-Saxon or Celtic, and latlely lots of Viking. This year looks like we're going toward Norman/Saxon again. Comfy garb.

Kai, great pics and garb.
Ani, I would love to see picks of that. I'd love to do a Morgana costume from the early seasons and I'm loving Gwen's new wardrobe, especially the purple dress.

So I've been so busy I didn't get to share my new costumes here. Two new Steampunk inspired outfits. The first was worn to the Time Lord Fest, a local Dr. Who mini con, and to the Absinthe Tea Party at the Tampa Bay Historical Society. The second was for the historical society's Mad Hatter Tea, I was Alice.

We actually didn't make anything there from scratch. We either bought it at a thrift store or on super duper clearance. The skirts were modified, and the second is from an old prom dress. I didn't get a picture of my other outfit recently that did have made from scratch pieces, camera isn't compatible with the new SD cards and I didn't know that before the event and the pics others got only show part of the costume.

Work in progress costume that WILL be ready for the premiere of The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug. I have Elf ears and an in-progress cloak that I'm also working on. Just have to take in the sides of the dress, add the sleeves, and do all the hemming, and I'll be good to go. ^_^ (heck, if this turns out well, I'll wear it to my school's Christmas banquet... XD) EDIT: Okay, because for some reason I can't get an image to show up and because I can't figure out how in the heck to add an attachment, have a link. >.> *can't brain today...*

Just Pony stuff - sorry, I am a Brony. LOL (a fan of the new "My Little Pony" series). So many costumes I want to do. I am still trying to come up with some idea for a Doctor Who costume. But I think TARDIS dresses are overdone. I'd LOVE to do a Weeping Angel, but a lot of bodypaint is involved

I did finally finish my Dolores Umbridge and wore it to the Yule Ball at Dragon Con.
