I was just a young costumer and came across the TJA table at Aventurecon in Knoxville, TN, in 2006. One can say now the rest is history. Over the years I have become friends with the founder of TJA and many other members of TJA.

Jan-Qui, it's a wonder we didn't meet up at CIII! I, too, found the table there, and came back more than once. Signed up before CIV, after I had made a second costume that would fill all the requirements. The rest is history. Sounds like conventions, the website, and personal encounters are common denominators in finding TJA.

I actually found your website by doing some searches into making my own Jedi costume.

Welcome, Luananeko! I found TJA at DragonCon...I was still walking around at my first one ever waaay back in 2006, and, of course, I was in awe of the incredible costumes around the con. I had already heard of - and seen them represented VERY well - the 501st, but, as much as I might like the Imperials (Sorry, Alderaan, but they just look so cool!), I knew I was "too short to be a stormtrooper" (I'm using that as a metaphor to say that I knew I could NEVER put together a 501st-level suit of armor within my lifetime!). Then, lo and behold, I saw the TJA table! Not only was the costume waaay more comfortable (and attainable!), but EVERYONE knows the coolest weapon in the galaxy (this one or any others, by gravy!), is the lightsaber! I worked from hardest to easiest...First thing needed was a lightsaber.... Once I had the 'saber, everything else just fell into place...I found the pattern for the Jedi tunic and robe, had a friend sew them for me for Halloween, went to eBay for the boots and belt, and - ta da! - I'm a Jedi, unlike my father before me! The rest, as they say, is history....

I found TJA way back when it was a baby... a geocities site! I had a jedi costume and was looking online for others with the same interest. Oh how we have grown since then!!! 10 years!

I found TJA in an issue of Star Wars Insider Magazine over 10 years ago! The article had a few Star Wars groups featured like RL and...TJA! Schph's picture was in that article for TJA. I sent in my application and was accepted in a few days by the founders/original members. TJA has been great and I'm happy that it's still around after 10 years! I still have that issue of Star Wars Insider Magazine and the acceptance e-mail stating that my Midichlorian Count was high enough to be a Jedi....

Hello! I met my good friend Jaren Valnor at the midnight re-release of Phantom Menace 3D at an AMC theater! I became his padawan and he has started me on the path of creating costumes. He suggested I check out TJA, and that's how i found it
