right. 500 for the whole thing painted and assembled, ready to wear. But you can have the raw cast for 300. I think its fiberglass. the guy made also the Anakin version; you could get parts and all. I think however it was a limited one-time run or something; but there's lot of work on that and it does look great.
Same for me, I don't need to spend money on yet another ongoing project right now, I have other things to finish first...

Hmmmm, well I don't mind the prices for just window-shopping. But $500 seems a little high, though if it's a limited run and first attempt, there may be a lot of labor time in the package. You can get a whole stormtrooper for about twice that much.

I followed the build and there was a lot of time and effort put into it. There isn't anything The Clone Wars specific being made right now in mass quantities. And stormtrooper kits take time, money and effort to finish on top of the initial cash outlay. So for those that are not able or unwilling to finish armor there is real value in it. Not to mention that it is incredibly accurate.

well its pretty expansive. With industrial with buckets, primer, paint, clear, a heat gun and an after noon of work. Its easy to do. I can do a custom size mandalorian like Jango ( no helmet and jetpack in about 3 hours ( formed but not painted. ) For about 600$ you can buy a Supreme stormtrooper armour with helmet.

I'm actually getting a set of armor. It'll be a mix of Anakin and Obi-Wan parts. It'll be Anakin colored though as it'll be Ky-Wan not an Anakin or Obi-Wan replica

a set from this guy?
That's cool.!! please post pictures when you receive. I'm curious. I plan on making my own clone wars set at some point, but am still unsure how I'll proceed. I'm thinking clone armor and jedi cloak like the previous clone wars series.
Stey Fann I'd like to see your version up close, might try it too. I see a problem with the arms and biceps armors... if you have tricks for that, I'm all ears.

I trooped last weekend (not Memorial Day... the one before) with a new member of the 501st who's getting a set of Chris' unfinished Obi-Wan. Can't wait to see that armor in person. I'm still percolating on mine... our troop was interrupted by a rain storm, so I had an opportunity to chat up some ideas with an RC and Darth Vader. My RC friend was explaining how to heat the plastic so it could be modified to fit a woman's shape better. I REALLY like the segmented shoulder armor but I haven't seen a woman wearing it in either Clone Wars series. And I loved that pewter sort of color on the Anakin set.... hmmmm. hmmmm... thinking.... percolating.... P.S. to avoid double-posting : The material I was investigating was "Wonderflex": www.cosplaysupplies.com/store.php?s=M4UZThere are some tutorials here: amethyst-angel.com/armormaking_patterns.html with the option to purchase more detailed instructions in book form or as PDFs on a DVD. I was thinking about this with possibly the PVC plumbing pipe arms (as per Cor-Al's links) or the drinking cups or some "trash can Fett" ideas. I just don't want it to look cheesy if my skills can't pull it off. I may wind up buying some and making some, according to time/skill/availability of credits. I do know I want to do boots instead of the Obi-Wan clone legs, so I'm looking at equestrian half-chaps and possibly modifying them to get the rugged boot/spat look. Anyway, my ideas so far....

Neat stuff. Yes I'll post pics, I'm still deciding on what kind of soft parts to do or how I want it to look. But once it's done I will

Looks very nice. I'm also wondering what the armor is made of? Is it comfortable? Does it jab you anywhere when you move or does the tunic cushion the edges?
