The quality look very poor to me. Anakin's tabs and fabric is wrong. The fabric is thicker and the leather from Museum replica look very plastic. Fans do a way better job than that.

the obiwan fabric is WAY off! ========== these are the prices being tossed around rebelscum: imperial officer $700 ; TK-trooper $2k ; anakin, obiwan $1500-1800 (!) the sabers and blasters will be made by eFX under contract to MRL; a typical saber will cost $150. (these are the old "CE" line from master replicas). ---> (this from stephen @ redfordfilms): " I talked a little with them yesterday and they said that most of them are in the $1500-$1800 range for the full costume. The sabers are $150 and can be purchased separately. All items can purchased separately or all at once in several sizes. The Stromtrooper armor will be $2000-========- read all about it : threads.rebelscum.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=3320005&page=0&view=&sb=5&o=&fpart=2&vc=1

For almost $2000 one would think they could use fabric that isn't so thin it can be seen through! I'll bet it's polyester, too. YUK!
I would think if someone is going to spend $2k, they would have done some research and care about quality of fabric and accuracy. Many of the unlicensed makers flying under the radar do a much better job.

Ok well these are an improvement on what they had. If that is indede the price for a Jedi outfit then yes way too much. However if you only need certain things it's not a horrible thing.
My better half has a Arwen LOTR gown from there and it looks really good. It all depends on if ya have the cash, but don't forget these are all gonna be like small, medium large xl type things so they may not even seem as fitted as the stuff we do.
I would say you'll spend less if you can find a decent costumer, fabric you like and all the extras but your still going to pay a bit for a outfit as high calibre as what we do. However these are for those who simply can't find them or don't have the time.
Why waste time looking for online costume or robe makers when you can order on online and be done with it and that's what they're selling to.
They can't replicate the rabrics used as they're trying to spend enough to make them look good but still make a profit. Can't do that if all the stuff is the same material and their staff have to work with this expensive fabric. I mean if they mess up on the assembly line...kinda gets expensive.
If someone wants to spend that cash to get one and wants to join our groups then more power to them....
It's a start folks, they know groups like us the 501 and RL are going to tear these things apart(one good thing is they were able to use the actual patterns that the film did). If ya take one apart and duplicate the pattern from the pieces....your set for life and you can use what ya want.
They also know how we have standards for joining and so if your going to try to sell sw costumes to people who spend their time making them without luicasfilms belssing and doing the homework they know they better have a great sales pitch and cost for us...cause were going to be part of the area they're trying to sell to, but they're cointing on the people who aren't conected with our groups to make the big sales.
I just wish we had these 6 years ago.

Actually, having looked at the sample in the 'Dressing A Galaxy' book, the Obi-Wan tunic fabric doesn't look that far off to me. The movie one is a loose weave silk and it looks like they went with a loose weave of something less expensive.
But Obi-Wan's tunic is lined. Because of that loose weave it has to be. This one isn't, which makes it look cheap.
If a fan had made this Jedi costume, I would say it was OK. But for a professional price, it's not too good.
I'll look at their display at DragonCon - they're on the list of exhibitors - but I vote that we NOT BE RUDE in front of them, which we paw over their display. That would be so embarrassing. Jedi should have discipline and be polite.
I've read online that their hardware is supposed to be very good and the lightsaber part of the costume might only be about $120. That's a good price for a replica.

Right, of course, Ani. However, we will have to make a decision as to whether these costumes would be acceptable for membership. If not, best to post right on the costume criteria section, as we do about Rubies.

Only the sleeves and skirt are lined on Obi-Wan's costume. The upper torso is not. That is the reason for the two tone inner tunic. I did see these at SDCC and they have most of the details right. They are working to get it better and spoke with several people that know these characters costumes very well. So keep an eye out, they should be getting better.

Oh my word. Their quality is not good and the price is way too hight. I can make a full jedi oufit suit with fully lined over tunic for $600. That would've included the under tunic, fully lined over tunic, tabbords obis leather belt and over robe.
