I need to find one of the rectangle things for the clip for under $6, because I'm ordering the knobs from Saberbelt clearance. Can anyone help me? I only need the rectangle thing. The lowest I can go is $8 plus shipping for just the belt clip. I have been running mad lately so don't take this next question the wrong way - did you already order the dished knobs from me? If you didn't then I would advise you to order the clip at the same time because I can ship everything in one box i.e. saving you a couple bucks on the shipping Dave

Also in TPM the pouches were clipped using them and in both TPM and AOTC Naboo blasters were attached with them as well. cool, I knew the blasters had them, but the pouches too? man... talk about versaatility!

How does everyone attach the covertec knob to their sabers?

I got my dad to drill into the body of the saber and use a tool called a 'tap' to create a thread so I could actually screw the clip to the saber. I recently got one of the dished knobs, and it was such an improvement on the design, I've got my mother-in-law to order me some more so I can use them on my existing sabers, and the ones I'm planning to make I think I'll have to buy a drill bit specifically for that though... Does anyone know the size of screw and screw thread they take?

I use 8-32 course thread button head cap screws - you can get the drill bit and tap for $5 or less together. I found them at Lowes and Home Depot, so they are fairly easy to get

Thanks, Dave, I'm sure if I take that info to a hardware store they'd be able to point me in the right direction

You are very welcome. I know that I have an assortment of taps here, after doing the Covertec where the screw went in super easy, I decided that I would do the same with any other project, I have not been wrong yet Dave Thanks, Dave, I'm sure if I take that info to a hardware store they'd be able to point me in the right direction

I know that I have an assortment of taps here, after doing the Covertec where the screw went in super easy, I decided that I would do the same with any other project, I have not been wrong yet Dave I think the thing that proved tapping the thread was the way to go, was when I got one of your dished covertec knobs a few weeks ago, and was able to simply unscrew the existing one and replace it instantly That was when I knew I had to get dished knobs for the other sabers The only problem I face now, is when I lived at my parents, I had access to all sorts of industry-grade tools and a milling machine. Now I've moved out, I've been reduced to dremels and hacksaws
