I have been searching for the longest time for a new hilt to hang from my belt. I finally found one I like at a decent price! My old saber: My new saber: In the tradition of my "people", my old saber has been handed down to my Padawan, Karm Vin.

My favorite spot: eBay. I've been searching literally for years for just the right one.... I got an eBay gift certificate for Christmas and I knew one of the things I was going to spend it on was a new hilt. I can even put an acrylic rod in if I want to, but since I want to hang it from my belt, I won't do that. The seller's name was " darthlogar "

Nice hilt For thoes that use ebay for saber buying, thers a guy that sells sabers on ebay, hes starting to do machined sabers it seems. A very talanted guy, knows what hes doing and does very nice work. He just compleated a blue staff saber and a green single. Hes got 3 up on ebay now and Iam sure the 2 new ones will be up there soon. mysite.verizon.net/resektwg/

Price was my problem. They start at $35-$55 but usually go much higher than that. I have bid on several of those gutted FXs, only to be outbid again and again. This one I got was a Buy It Now that was cheaper than that.

Bidding on ebay is very weird.
I've been trying to get a broken FX to gut it down and reuse its electronics...
Nevertheless, a broken hilt can end up at about 50-60$, while a brand new hilt around 60-70$
I stoped trying to understand why paying 60$ for a broken one when you can get a new one for 60$.

I thinks its because a lot (not all) of the broken ones already have the blades removed and some people (myself inlcuded) would rather have it removed alreqady rather than risk cracking the casing trying to take everything apart

they are all easy to take apart, the only one that might give you trouble is the obi. It comes apart just like the luke.

It sucks.
