I purchased the saber through an Ebay auction- here's the URL: cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6543190319&ed=1120368207000&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOTB:CA:6He doesn't have any up for auction at the moment, but I'm sure if you email him he could make an arrangement with you. Very friendly seller. One thing, if you do get one of his Mark III assemblies, I would ask for a raw steel grenade section and paint it yourself if you so choose. The one I received was spray-painted black and unfortunately the black paint rubbed off in my hands while holding it. What I ended up doing was removing the black paint with turpentine, and sanding off the underlying primer (he really did go about it the right way- priming then painting- he just used the wrong type of paint for metal). I then repainted the grenade with black semi-gloss Tremclad rust paint. It is specifically for metal and requires no priming. I put on three coats with at least 24 hrs drying time in between coats. The saber is just gorgeous now! ;D Hope this helps.

Wookie you rule!
I want your whole house!
Now when you say an elite episode 1 Obi, does that mean they'll charge extra because of rarity or will it start at a normal price and then skyrocket?
Any word on a Qui Gon and where did you find this info?

if you are in the collectors society at MR you can get another chance to get the obi wan elites. Not sure about the prices but only the collectors society has this chance I believe.

Yeah I'm not in that, but I did get the email about the saber. It didn't say the price, but if I had to guess, I'd say it's about $500. I may be wrong.

I have three saber LE's.
Yoda AOTC
Sidious saber
Anakin ROTS
I don't personally recommend them for costuming of their weight. By the time when CIV comes, I'll be wearing Anakin for costuming. I'm using MR this time cause I couldn't find any accurate saber that's lighter. Anyways, MR are more meant to be for collecting and displaying. Primrodo dealed with Acerockets not to make another of his lightsaber to anyone, just exclusively for him. I manage to like that saber.

If I might Chime in on this subject; I own a couple of the MR lightsaber hilts a Mace Windu and a Qui-Gon Jinn. The later came at a far lower cost then the Windu, but the wieght of the thing makes it difficult to wear on the belt. For my costume I have a Parksaber that is light enough to wear, but when the mood suits me the Mace Windu hilt is light enough too. Right now I am looking for resin hilts, light and detailed and much less expensive.

for costuming I use a hollowed-out MR "force-FX" saber hilt. basically a "force-FX" with the blade and electronics removed (ie: "gutted"). its hollow so it doesn't weigh much at all.
I bought it from a guy who transplanted the electronics from a new anakin FX into an antique graflex hilt instead. so the forceFX hilt was 'brand new', cosmetically speaking. it looks just like an anakin LE. (except for the fact that its just a short hollow tube. heh. but nobody can see that when its hanging on your belt, so its all good)
