Well, I finally completed my very first saber! Some of you may have already seen it at Celebration III. (That was the first time that anyone saw it completed) Remember, it's just my first attempt. Nothing extravagant, but now I can finally say "Yes, I made it myself" and feel pretty good about it. ;D Anyway, here it is.... pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/whinter_fenlynn/detail?.dir=/b46c&.dnm=d1de.jpg&.src=ph

That looks very nice indeed!
I especially like the emitter; far too many custom sabers have too small an emitter IMO.
well done!

Thank you all for your kind feedback. And Pet-Cr, you're going to laugh when I tell you what the "blue stuff" is. I absolutely LOVE the look of sabers with all the cool lights and everything in them, but unfortunately I just didn't feel comfortable trying to do all that on my own just yet. Maybe my next one. So therefore, the "blue stuff" is actually nothing but one of those glow sticks that last up to 8 hours. ;D I put some insullation in the pipe so that it wouldn't move around and then made it where I could open up the saber at one end at any time to change the stick. I guess it works?

That is a very cool job. Inventive idea with Glowsticks too. What does it say on the side?

That is a very cool job. Inventive idea with Glowsticks too. What does it say on the side? It's my Jedi name, "Whinter", in aurebesh. I figured it looked a little more "outworldish" in aurebesh, instead of just spelling it out in English.

Very nice saber. It has far fewer hacksaw scratches, uh battle scars, on it than mine!

That glow stick stuff tastes good. ;D ;D ;D ;D
DISCLAIMER: I don't advise drinking the liquid glow stuff.

Cool saber, good job. I really like the emitter end too. It kind of reminds me of the first one I did about a year ago.

Actually Ani-Chay, I've got one pretty large scratch (uh...I mean, battle scar) on mine already too. ;D Thanks again, everyone, for all your support. Your kind comments are truly appreciated. *BOWS*
