Well it came yesterday. But I showed up just as the mail dude was leaving. I ran after the guy yelling and screaming. I knew he heard me when he looked behind him, smiled and waved at me. The dude didn't even stop. I was so mad. So I will be leaving early today from work to go pick it up at the post office. I get off work at 4:30 and the PO closes at 5:00. Today is my Friday too. So I have three days to study it and mes around with it.

I had a similarly disappointing day when my Parks saber arrived: After waiting anxiously for weeks, I got a note to go to the post office to pick it up. When they handed it to me I could see a big dent in the cardboard tube, complete with a large black tire mark right across it! I took it home, opened the tube, and took out the blade. The blade was my first fear, but it was fine. I started to remove the paper Jeff had wrapped around the hilt, and started to get my hopes up. I opened it from the pommel end and everything was OK--until I got to the emitter end--it was crushed! Jeff had done an excellent job of packaging, but not much can stand up under the weight of a forklift! He was great about replacing it promptly. You'll love your Parks saber. Which model did you get?

That stinks. But at least you were able to get it replaced. I went for the graflex with blue blade. I know it's totally not original. But I have wanted one since the first time I saw Episode 4. Which one did you get?

Oh man both you guys. Mailman wouldn't stop? That's rude. When my parks saber came the mail man was curious about the package so I told 'em. Dude, he wanted to see it. SO I opened it up, meanwhile he's almost as anxiosu as I am. Got it out, installedc the powercell and lit it up. You shoulda' seen the man's eyes. He was like a kid at CHristmas.:-D hehe. He took it to a dark spot in the room to see the EL blade 's brightness. First thing Mike said was"Sweeeet!" Oh and yes, Jeff IS honourbale and good about replacing a damaged Saber, or even helping you do mods on it yourself. Like with mine

speaking of modifications, i bought a DEFIANCE from a friend and then did some of my own changes to it. i wanted something i could duel with comfortably, but that led control box was right in the way. so i dismantled the saber and removed it. then i cut a square hole the main aluminum housing. i needed to do this because its 1/8 inch thick and the switch would not go through it and then through the outer stainless steel shell. i sent that housing to a machine shop to have the hole drilled in it. dont ever try to drill into stainless unless you are a professional, i burned out 2 drill bits trying. once the switch was installed, a simple on/off push button from Lightech. this switch sits in about the center of the saber. unfortunately this left a big hole in the housing where the control box used to be. i fixed this by covering it with a section of black sink pipe, which is the same diameter as the housing, but being made of plastic, flexed enough to snug to the housing using a brass thumbscrew. i also replace the grips with about 10 O rings. those grips kept coming loose and i got tired of glueing them back on. over all most people like the way it looks now....very streamlined. its also no problem at all to duel with as my friends at shinai class can tell you.

AZ, I went with the Arcwave, with a green blade. I guess the post office accident was a blessing in disguise. The damaged one I had originally was another model, and I was able to check it out in person for a day before I mailed it back. I changed my order to the Arcwave and I'm very glad I did. There's nothing wrong with the other model, I just like the Arcwave better. And you're right, Graflex sabers are iconic in how they say, "Star Wars." Mynn, Jeff is great. (Have you noticed his testimony on his site?) BTW, what modifications have you made to yours?

Laan Kro, Arcwave? Bad memory. I have to go look at that again. But sounds like you like it. Opened mine yesterday and... ;D OH MY GOSH!! It is so cool. In my opinion it beats any MR saber. I just can't say enough about it. I do have pics but I don't know how to show them. Any thoughts? Please?

AZ, the Arcwave looks a little like Luke's from ROTJ. It's pretty traditional, with the D ring hanger. I definitely picked my favorite. I'm glad your wait is over! I'm still anxiously awaiting my pouches from MP Productions.
