Ok here's an interesting question, what with summer coming and all...What do Jedi wear when they go swimming(besides a breather)? Not the the kind of swimming they might encounter on a mission...I mean like when they're just at the temple and they decide to go for a swim in the waterfall room or something. Anyone ever read anything about Jedi swimming at their leisure? I think Obi-wan makes a reference to it somewhere in the Jedi Apprentice series but I can't recall if garb was mentioned.
...And what about Jedi pajamas? ;D
(I couldn't decide whether to post this here or in the costuming forum)
(yes, I modified 'cause I forgot to put the smiley!)

I thought everyone knew that Jedi never sleep, eat, or sit down for more than 15 minutes ;D!

I sort of vaguely remember a reference to them changing into swimwear in one of the earlier J/A novels, but I don't remember which one or if it descibed it, my guess is that it wouldn't show a lot of skin. Try looking thru J/A 1-3 it's probably a scene where Obi Wan & Bant are swimming. Also could be a reference to Anakin in the 1st J/Q where Obi Wan tries to get him to join the other padawans to make friends (might have been in one of the hardcover books as well)

Ok...in Jedi Quest, the Shadow Trap...Anakin is swimming in his free time and is just said that he removes his outer tunic, so my guess is that they really don't have designated swimming garb. It's hard to swim in clothing though. I remember back when I was a lifeguard in high school, part of the test was to perform a rescue while wearing blue jeans and shoes! It was also important to know that if you fell in the water and were forced to tread or float for extended lengths of time, you should take off the shoes and the jeans, inflate the jeans and wear them as a makeshift floataion assisstant. Swimming in a tunic, although it would be a lighter fabric than jeans, doesn't sound appealing. I guess I'll have to employ artistic liscence when deciding on swimwear!

swimming in an under tunic..... well... the Jedi seem to approach everything as training for something...lol.... so maybe swimming in the inner tunic prepares them for emergency swimming in full garb....

Humm good question.
Maybe they swim in their under garments. In "Approaching Storm, theywere doing some leisurly swimming. In that one, they were in the under garments.
Well I guess that question could be posed to Jocosta Nu on Theforce.net "Ask the Jedi Council" forum.

Yes...I think I should pay her a visit. And I have a scuba school in my town, I'll have to check out those breathers.

One should also realize that the jedi are a more composed group. Remember "there is no passion", they probibly where what ever is comfortable at the time including their underclothes

I sort of tend to think along those lines, I doubt if they go to Corus-mart for Jedi swimwear, but, ya never know.

Now that I think about it ....where do the Jedi get their garb....I know Anakin chose the darker color....but he "chose it"....doesn't say he "made" it...... I don't remember anywhere that it said that the Jedi made their own garmets.... hmmmmmmm.....
