Anyone know if I can chage the color with something? My oldest said to paint them. Kids and there humor. I told him that is like me painting his Xbox. Won't happen.

There'sa leather dye to rub on 'em from www.leatherfactory.com best guy to ask about how to apply the dye correctly is LonMark. He's a membwr of the forum. Give 'em a Private message asking how to deal with the dyes and how to tell which color would be right for your needs.

Almost any competent shoe repair place can re-do the dye job. Usually they can darken a colour, if it's not too much of a colour mix will change the colour, and that doesn't sound like the case here.

You should really enjoy the boots. The ones I wear are their Qui-Gon Jinn reproductions. They fit my foot perfectly, and are very comortable. Enjoy

Well, I do like them. But a little thing happened. The kids wanted me to put everything on Sunday night. I said ok. I put the boots on, zipped them up, took two steps, TWO STEPS and both zippers separated from each other. They came apart at the teeth. I tried for hours to fix it. Just couldn't do it. So I dropped them off this afternoon to a shoe repair shop. He said the zippers are way to light for the boot. He said they really need a heavier duty zipper. So I am getting the zippers replaced for $50. Oh well.

Yeah, I know. Just with work, kids, and lawyers, I am going nuts. Just don't have time. OK, wait a sec... OK, I called. Funny. Had to leave a message. Might sounds stupid, but I miss the boots.

Well, this made me feel good. I talked to the shoe repair guy. They should be done next week. AND... he said he really liked them and they must have cost alot. I said around $400. He said that is a steal. He would charge about $1200 for the same thing. OH MY GOSH!!! So I fell pretty good about that.

I jsut stumbled over some boots a few days ago. They'er tan and arfe VERY very soft leather. Not a suead though. They'er a 7 /2 and i wear a 6. I wodner if a shoe man can tke them down a size and repalce the hard leather sole for a rubber sole? I wore them at an event and I don't like clomping about like a horse.

Just got around to calling the guy again. He never called me back because he lost my number. I don't think so. I have been calling once a week. I went down there four times. All four times he was closed when he was supposed to be open. But, I did talkto him today. I will be there Friday to pick them up. Not too bad. It's only been what, a month and a half? At least I get them back.

toss you could probably pick up a bottle of black nu life in the shoe dept of walmart to color dye your boots. last year when i was on a batman costume board, the guys there used it alot to color their boots and swore by it. it is also suppose to be permanent so it will not come off. i havent used it so i cant personally attest to it though.
