I read that on TF.N too, but I'm sure that your inside info is much more accurate ;D. What I am wondering about is what kind of extra footage they are going to put on it. There is quite a lot of stuff from the book that I would love to see on film. Oh well, I guess I can wait a few more months to find out!

I am not sure that they are... I am hoping SOMEONE will have a midnight sale thingy....we have to have an excuse to get dressed up in our costumes at midnight! If they don't open at midnight, maybe our local group may do a "get in line at midnight thing" and hang out till the store opens....

At least 1 of the Virgin Mega stores is open till after midnight in NYC, you can get the stuff for the next day after 12:01am they will ring it up, providing it comes in when it should, and this at least is not likely to arrive late. I wonder if the SWNYC group will be doing a version of midnight madness for the DVD? More than likely. I'm totally bummed, I had planned on going to AOTC tonight, but Spy Kids opened on weds. instead of fri. AAGGGGGHHHHH!!!!! Running out of time again, so I gotta go now.

The theaters around here have already stopped showing it...I only got to see it twice, what with vacations and all....

You got to see it in digital ? Man, am I jealous! There were no digital theaters in either Boone or Miami that we could have seen it at. The closest one was in Orlando. Oh well.............hopefully they will re-release it on IMAX......there are tons of IMAX theaters here, and one of them is bound to show it. Otherwise, it has gone out of the theaters here. Only saw it 7 times .

I didn't get to see it in digital either, that I know of. One newly renovated theater near me has digitlal sound, but I'm not sure if it's all digital. I really hope Ep II comes out in the IMAX!! That will be awesome!

I didn't see it in digital either...bummer...digital sound-yes, but not digital video. They said that there were some scenes in the all digital version that were slightly different. For example...at the end when you see Anakin's bionic hand ...in the non-digital version it is just held down at his side...but in the all digital version, Padme holds that hand.

And that brings me to a question I've had in my head for a while. Why did Lucas show Anakin with his mechanical hand? I mean, why did he show it exposed, and not covered. If they could create a life-like mechanical hand for Luke, they should have been able to do the same for Anakin. We all know that Vader hand is mechanical because of ROTJ, so why show it here? So I am assuming that he was just going for the symbolism......we know that it's mechanical, but he just wanted to reinforce it. Anyone else have any ideas about it? I am hoping that Lucas will discuss this in the commentary on the DVD!

Well, you have to remember that EpII takes place a few decades before Luke, and technology was not as advanced....
