I remembered. My name was something I hungered for and now I had it. My hand closed around the holocron as if afarid to lose it. Hett looked at me with a hint of a smile and then flipped a few switches taking off. Dust spun up covering me as I placed the holocron in a pack on the bike. Quickly I shook my head and took off following the trail of spn up dirt. It wasn't hard to catch up to Hett as I swerved around sand dunes.
I knew there was another meetng place we were heading off to. One thatwe could stay for a few hours to make better plans. We knew what we had to do but we needed a firmer plan. To think that once being a Jedi was something to have humbled many too now gave away to the fears of knowing one.
'Hopefully that will change one day..and soon..'
Kaelyn suddenly got the feeling that they were being followed. I glanced back and saw only the hot sands but knew there was a presence. We wern't as safe as was planned. But how could the troopers find out this quickly? Hett must have felt it too for he turned sharply left and headed down to a series of caynons. I followed, letting the force guide me as we made the sharp turns barley missing the narrow walls. If someone was foloowing this would slow them down long enough for us to get farther ahead.
((If you guys want this longer let me know.. This was all I could think of for the moment..))

The heat of the Dune Sea would have been unbearable to most, but to the rider of the highly modified swoop bike, it was but a warming breeze, he had experienced heat far in excess of this. As the undulation of the dunes continued, his mind drifted back to the events that had put him in this location...
Palpatine stood on the high balcony, observing all that surrounded him, the fast-moving lights of air-traffic at night. All was in order, and proceeding as he had forseen, but there were still matters that required his attention. He became aware of an unusual disturbance in the Force, not exactly a change in the flow, this was more like oil upon water, carried along by the current but not truly a part of it, dangerous to all it encountered. "You summoned me." The voice reaching Palpatine's ears was evenly pitched, with a dryness like metal upon metal. Turning, Palpatine gazed upon a tall figure clad entirely in flowing black robes, their face hidden behind a sinister mask of carved stone "Indeed I did, Lord Vious, I require your skills," said Palpatine. "Clone Intelligence places a number of Jedi on Tattooine, and although I have already dispatched Commander Bly to investigate, I feel your unique skills will be more beneficial." Vious folded his arms across his chest and c0cked his head slightly, the lights from the passing traffic dancing along the smooth surface of his mask. "And what would you have me do should these reports prove to be true?" Palpatine could sense the power in the figure before him, it was a sensation akin to being too close to a power coupling, where one must constantly be mindfull of their every move. "Order 66 is still in effect, Lord Vious, the traitorous Jedi must be hunted down and punished for their betrayal, and those who remain loyal must be brought into our circle of protection." With a single nod, Vious spoke. "I understand, I shall begin my investigation at once." Turning, he left Palpatine to his contemplations on the balcony.
His investigation had begun in Mos-Eisley, and it had not been long before he located the Zabrak pilot in the hangar bay. He had sensed his undisciplined thoughts immediately, and a wry smile quirked his lips beneath his mask, this assignment would be easier than he had imagined...
Makirto frowned as he examined his ship, despite all assurances, it had not been prepped as he had specified. He did not relish the task of telling Ryn and the others that their trip would be delayed, but it could not be helped. He was reaching for the communicator on his belt, when he felt a disturbance in the Force, flowing, nebulous, impossible to truly define, but unquestionably dark. Spinning, his hand went to the hilt of his lightsaber, and then he saw a figure cloaked in black. Saw a glint of metal at the belt, and saw an elegantly curved lightsaber, it looked familiar, but he could not immediately recall the owner, it had been so long since he had been in the Jedi Temple. "Identify yourself," Makirto challenged, "Who I am is unimportant," replied the cloaked figure, walking away from the hangar's entrance, and circling the perimeter. "What is important, is that you tell me the location of the other Jedi located here." "I'll never betray them to the Emperor or his minions," Makirto spat back, igniting his lightsaber, and holding it's cerulean blade on the periphery of his vision, in a high ready position. The cloaked figure casually reached for his own lightsaber with his left hand. "You already have," he said, with an edge to his voice that sent chills through Makirto, as the blood-red blade of a Sith lightsaber ignited. Makirto lunged forwards, bringing his lightsaber down in a powerfull arc, but the cloaked figure deflected it with an effortless flick of his wrist, and countered with a slash that would have bisected Makirto's legs had he not flipped backwards. Centering himself, Makirto observed his opponent more fully. He wielded a curved lightsaber, and was clearly a Master of the Makashi Form, any mistake in judgement against him would be fatal. Makirto tried to recall all he had learned during his training at the Jedi Temple, but something still nagged at his awareness: that curved lightsaber, he had seen it before, years ago when he was but a youngling, but who had been the Jedi who wielded it? It was not Qui-Gon Jinn, though he was sure the Jedi had studied under Dooku... Yes, it was coming back to him, a Jedi who had on the verge of taking the Trials when his own Master had been killed on a mission, and the Council had allowed to continue his own training, albeit under their supervision... Dooku had not taken the Jedi as a Padawan, but had trained him in saber technique. That's who the saber had belonged to! Makirto's wandering attention was brought back to the present as the crimson blade swirled towards him in a blindingly intricate pattern, and rather than parrying, he swung his own saber to break the pattern. Just as his blade was about to make contact, the cloaked figure suddenly spun away, bringing his own saber up in the tightly controlled blocking technique of a Soresu Master, before spinning again, switching his lightsaber from one hand to the other in a horizontal slash hideously unorthodox to the either form, infact, it was a maneauver more akin to Master Windu's Vaapad Form! Could this figure be a Master of Vaapad as well? As Makirto spun away from the cloaked figure, he sensed an incoming blow, and held his saber one-handed in a vertical position to protect his spine as he rotated to gain more room, and as the blades came into contact, for the first time in his life, Makirto realized he was facing an opponent signifigantly more skilled than he was. His best option was to attempt to overpower the cloaked figure with Djem So. "Tell me what I need to know, and I may spare your life," said the cloaked figure, calmly circling the hangar bay, his lightsaber once more held loosely at his side. Makirto observed the way the cloaked figure held the lightsaber by the curve of it's lower hilt, leaving the straight upper grip and emitter exposed. "Never!" he shouted, bringing his cerulean blade down in a one-handed slash to make contact with the saber's exposed grip. There was the briefest shower of sparks, but his blade did not cut through the lightsaber, instead, the cloaked figure effortlessly swung his blade around in the simplest of rotations, slicing down behind Makirto's blade and severing his saber hand at the wrist. Makirto was so shocked that he hardly felt the burning pain, nor noticed as his saber deactivated and fell to the floor, instead he simply fell back against the wall of the hangar, collapsing to the floor, the cloaked figure towering over him. "You are beaten, do not make me destroy you, tell me where to find the other Jedi." "H.. How?" Gasped Makirto, still struggling to comprehend what his own senses told him had just happened. Extinguishing his blade, the cloaked figure crouched , almost like bird of prey waiting to strike, and held up his lightsaber. "Phrik alloy," he replied simply as his cold grey eyes considered it's polished surface from behind the smoothness of his mask. Makirto's gaze fell upon his own fallen saber, it was not far from where he lay, it would be no challenge to use the Force to call it to him... "Don't even think about it," the cloaked figure said, his voice carrying the authority of one who was used to being obeyed. He returned his lightsaber to the rectangular charging unit on his belt, and in a continuation of the same gesture, called Makirto's saber to him. Turning it in his gloved hand, he took in it's construction, recognizing in it's design linneage who had first trained this Zabrak. "Your Master would be proud, you have excellent technique" "Apparently not excellent enough," snorted Makirto. "Do not consider this defeat a dishonour," replied the cloaked figure as he laid the saber down with a care bordering on reverence. "You have skill, but you are no Master, nor have you had tutors such as mine. Defeat from a more skilled opponent carries no shame" Makirto frowned. That was something Master Yoda had once told him... Who had trained this person in the Jedi Arts? Who were his tutors.? He looked once more to the cloaked figure's lightsaber, could this have been the Jedi who had studied under Dooku after all? "You are defeated, with no way to defend yourself," said the cloaked figure, disturbing Makirto's thoughts. "If you tell me where to locate the other Jedi, I will spare your life." "I'll never betray my friends to you!" Makirto snarled back. Behind his mask, the cloaked figure sighed. "So be it..." Standing, he held out his hand, summoning and channelling the Force, using it to raise and suspend Makirto. He could feel the power of the Force flowing through him, the power offered him by the Dark Side was incredible, and he closed his fingers, intent on choking the life from the fallen Jedi. Makirto tried to summon the Force to free himself, but the power of the cloaked figure was too great, and the only result was him shaking like a goober-fish on a line. Darth Vious could feel the life leaving the defeated Jedi, who had indeed proved a worthy opponent, but then something caught his attention... A holo projector fell from the Zabrak's belt, ratting on the floor of the hangar untill it lay flat. With his free hand, Vious summoned the projector to him. He activated it, and saw the Human figure appear. Heard the words it spoke, then looked back to the helpless Jedi in his grasp, and opened his fingers. Makirto fell to the floor and collapsed in a heap. "Wh...why?" he managed to gasp as the cloaked figure walked away, heading towards a modified swoop bike at the edge of the hangar. "You told me what I needed to know, I have no need to kill you." replied the figure, swinging a leg over the swoop bike and powering up the modified repulsors. Makirto felt even wearier than he would have considered a moment before, he had betrayed Ryn and his friends after all... Summoning reserves of strength he did not know he had, Makirto called his lightsaber to his good hand, ignited it, and flung it desperately towards the departing swoop bike. But, it had already departed and the blade simply dug into the wall of the hangar, severing power conduits in a shower of sparks. Exhausted, he collapsed to the floor, and darkness washed over him.
Piloting the swoop bike almost on auto pilot, Vious consulted the holo-projector once more. He was nearing the rendezvouz point, it would not be long before he was able to confront the Jedi. Glancing at the tracking screen between the handlebars, he saw two blips moving towards a series of canyans, and through the Force, felt the currents shift. The hunt had truly begun

very nice indeed. I do like it.
we have now developed a few inconsistencies in our story line.
1) I had the whole group leave Tatooine. (or appear to) 2) Tailon had the Human Jedi stay back to check on the coordinates, gave us his name, and brought in Hett.. (a bit of a offshoot but ok so far and easy to accomodate) 2a) Himiko ran with Tailon’s lead and began to spring the trap it seems. (good so far.) 3) Tanzan has Makirto confronted by Lord Vious in the hanger bay and then has Vious go after the human Jedi. (timeline issue here: Makirto was with the group in the hangar bay and left with them. Then the human Jedi left on his “side mission”) Both the human jedi and Makirto had the holoprojector; the human in the cantina and then Makirto in the hanger bay. (no exchange was noted).
HMMmmmm. OK! I think I can edit my earlier contribution and add a bit to it that will account for all of this without interfering with what the rest of you have added since then. That will keep the storyline intact and allow it to continue along its present course.
I shall try to do so this evening…..

yes... As tenric said..please read what the others have written so far..so we do not have this mix up again... but i am sure we can work it in as what happened after the male jedi parted with the rest of the group and before they arrived at the hangar or something....

OK. I re-wrote some of my earlier part to account for the issues. I think I got them all worked in (and out) without changing too much and it all seems to fit now. Give it a read and let me know what you all think. I had the ship go to Mos-Espa for refuelling. I mentioned the fight but left out the details so nicely put in by Tanzan. I had the Human come back off the ship, but didn't say why. MAkirto kept the holoprojector in the cantina. They all know the HAND is there looking for them. He now has left just ahead of our human jedi to go looking for him, but that shouldn't be a problem with the current storyline.....

My apologies, I had thought that I was being consistent to the way the group had left the cantina, as it had said Makirto would leave first by himself, so I planned the encounter to take place between then and when he was met by the others... I shall be more mindfull in future rounds...
