its like the question about how many licks does it take to get to the tootsie roll center of a tootsie pop....the world may never know. I actually counted once when I was about 8 years old....... so the world can know.......it took 537 licks for the one I had (chocolate with tootsie roll center. Just a bit of trivia for those so minded

as most mothers know, they build a strong bond with their children. as in the star wars universe that bond is even stronger through the force sensative people (luke, leia). even tho padme was not force sensative luke and leia were. if you go by the midiclorian counts both luke and leia are over 18 thousand. their first bad experiance was the death of their mother. that bond was hidden from luke persay due to uncle owen and aunt veru not giving up the exact information he was looking for about his parents (mainly his father). leia was mostley raised by a adopted mother and father as by the end of episode 3 you could see the love she was given. if you look to the force in the movies like what master quigon stated in episode 1 and what yodo told luke in epsiode 5 the force binds us (partial saying). luke and leia are the same in strength of the force (even tho leia doesnt use the force like luke does). lol im rambling just think of it like the mothers unifying force, you cannot break the bond between mother and children no matter what you try. sorry edited for spelling kinda tired

There are many instances of hiccups in the entire saga- Another big one is: "Your Father wanted you to have this when you were old enough". When did Anakin ever say this to Obi-Wan? Answer- he didn't. Why does Obi-Wan call Anakin "Darth" in Ep IV? This one really makes no sense whatsoever. Even during Ep III after Anakin became Darth Vader, Obi-Wan still called him Anakin. But calling him "Darth" (as if it was a first name and not his Sith title) makes even less sense. Why did he call him that? Here's what I think: George Lucas had not determined that all Sith lords would have the title Darth when he filmed Ep IV (he also believed it would be the only film he would make of all six). So Obi-Wan calls him that as if it was his first name. Technically we don't hear the word Sith until Ep I- so it may be that (at the time George wrote Ep IV to VI) it wasn't Vader's title and was his first name. None of this stuff has a straight answer until someone asks George himself.

There are many ways to learn the ways of the Force, but only those who have joined it may know best.

If anyone ever looks through all the supposed stories that Lucas had going at any given time, you'd be amazed that we even got a full story.
It's been rewritten so many times I was amazed they even did the prequels. If anyone has their hands on the 12 inch figure of Anakin that came with the book in it...read that sometime.

They way I look at it is that nothings perfect...I think he did a pretty good job for making a prequel almost 30 years after the original!

Don't get me wrong- I'm not bashing the films because of some little mistakes that only we would notice. I'm just saying we shouldn't kill ourselves trying to figure out an answer for something that is simply a plot oversight.

These are interesting things I gathered from Answers.com about Leia: "George Lucas stated that he wanted one of the Skywalker Twins to recall their mother. He claimed since Luke knew Vader was their father, he most likely felt that Leia was entitled to the brief memory of her real mother from infancy to equal out the parentage and children connection. Leia Amidala Skywalker is born at the near end of Revenge of the Sith, when her real mother, the Senator Padmé Amidala of the Naboo gives birth to Leia and her twin brother, Luke, at Polis Massa. Before Padmé dies while being comforted by Obi-Wan Kenobi, Leia looks at her and gains a faint memory of her mother, due to her connection to the Force. She tells Luke in later years that their mother was very beautiful, kind and gentle, yet sad."
This information may not be wholly accurate, but it does make sense.
