The Jedi couldn't sense the Clones turning on them, because the clones were just following orders. They really didn't have any evil intent for the Jedi to sense. In the book, it's made very obvious that that is the exact reason why Sidious chose to do it that way. Order sixty-six.
As for why Yoda sensed it in time enough to react . . . Well, he's Yoda. What more do you want? ;D Plus it looked to me like he was sensing all the other Jedi dying before the order ever come through to the the Clones that were with him, so he had more time to react.

I don't think Mace survived the fall because the next shot is of Yoda sensing his death.

Calaveylon, Remember Mace was being electrocuted and force-pushed. See how Obi-Wan was force-pushed by Dooku; he was thrown against the wall and was unconscious. RIP Mace Windu.

EXACTLY what I was going to say. The Clone Wars Mace was the hardest Jedi alive!!! He was tougher than Yoda and fell from far higher in the middle of a battle without breaking a sweat.
Yes he was probably unconscious.
Yes it's highly unlikely
But
Yes he's just so bad, if there was any man alive in the Galaxy who could survive that, it would be Mace.
Why wouldn't he come back?
Because he's super mad at everybody for letting this whole thing happen. He's also probably amnesiac and definitely a bit scared of Palpatine and Vader.
So what might happen?
Exile baby. Kashyyk Like Jolie Bindo before him.
Until...
Luke finds him after the Emperor is dead.
Roll on Episode VII (In my head at least)

In the book "The Making of ROTS", it shows a deleted scene- General Grievous kills Shaak Ti by stabbing her from behind with one of his lightsabers.
