It's true.Lucas said it himself. Another funny little thing that may happen is pieces of vaders cloak/armor/costume will apear in the film. The final thing that will be shown is his mask. He will wear it in the end.

A lot has been said. Well I think it will be either in a Star Destroyer or the Death Star in construction, and that he will report to his new Master that the construction is going well and that all the Jedi are dead. The insignicificant Rebellion still standing, but will be soon destroyed.
One thing which is weird is the lightsaber Luke gets given by Obi-Wan. It is supposed to have belonged to Anakin, could it just be that Obi-Wan kept one for Luke without Anakin knowing about it? And what about Obi-Wan and Anakin Jedi Robes in ROTJ. How could they have similar robes, guessing that Anakin should be kicked out of the order?

As far as Anakin'e lightsaber goes, I am assuming he has to build a new one, since his was taken away on Geonosis.
The robes? Chalk it up to fashion choices by the costuming dept. at the time. Anakin is a light side Jedi spirit. I guess that's what he would have worn if were still a Jedi and never became Vader.

Another news, I just read recently on HYPERSPACE the new starwars.com thing that anakin has a scar, possibly on his face and that he was meant to be quite worn out. Before was mentionned links to the OT. Well most of you must know it by now but Mon Mothma, Chewbacca and Golden 3PO will be seen in this Episode, so as I wrote before we wont see Vader much, but more the transformation of Anakin throughout until the end...see above

I read somewhere that Darth Vader as we see him in the original trilogy, was the product of years of work by Anakin. So we may see an early version of D Vader, but surly not the complete thing.

Xana I agree on the light side of Anakin theory, it makes sense. And Corja, it's true that Anakin sports a scar, if I remember correctly, it's over his right eyebrow. Come to think of it I think I even saw one on his left cheek. I subscribe to SW Insider, truly awesome news info on the two trilogies. His hair and scars and outfit make him look like a dominating presence already. Can't wait to see the film.

i think on the saber theory its his last "light jedi" saber he builds before constructing his famous sith saber
and also the reason he is in Jedi Robes is because if you remeber when he is Dying Luke says its not too late father to come back to the light side i think that the love and compasion that Luke had for his father was enough to turn anikan back to the light side of the force

I think the last few moments of the movie will be Anakin being fitted his armour, the camera rotating around him, not showing the face, going as far as the skin. Echoed quotes of Jedi come every few seconds, like Mace saying "He will not be trained, he is too old." and Yoda saying "Clouded this boy's future is." etc until we get to the more agressive ones, until we hear Obi Wan shout Anakin as his mask slips on and Anakin turns round. *Spoof* After turning round Anakin stands up and starts singing and dancing with storm troopers in the background and singing to: "Hi, my name is, what, my name is, who? My name is Darth Vader!"

Oh... About Hayden Christtensen being too small for Darth Vader...
Anakin falls in some form of volcano while battling with Obi-Wan, which nearly kills him. After that he gets the Vader-suit, which helps him to breath, move, etc. I think it might have burned his legs off, or something like that, so they made the suit bulkier. Or at least, that's my two cents.

Well, firstly, do we mean Vader or Vader in the suit. Because from all the official intel, it seems Ani becomes Vader around the mid time of the film... only at the end does he wear the suit cause of the injuries indulged by Ob1. I agree with Pulatus about the legs being replaced by mechanical ones, it is said that he will loose more limbs... Lucas mentiones (in Vanity Fair I think) "...that is what happens when you play with swords..."

The Vanity Fair article said a lot...without really giving away too much....
I really loved the article as it gave insight to where Anakin's head was at by the time A New Hope rolls around...and the part about losing too many limbs and the effect on his midichlorians....less original body parts = les midichlorians...and less power.
Also....everyone from my local fan force was talking about the book "Labrynth of Evil" and how it is a must read before ROTS......it explains how really powerful Anakin has become and brings Anakin and Obi-Wan's relationship into a clearer view....
I may run out later today and get that book....all of the reviews that I have read by Star Wars fans give it a huge thumbs up.
