Prayers going out to all.
Quicher is in school now & is very concerned---she has to take courses to keep up her medical liscences & those in charge have really gotten her classes mixed up so any prayers for her to successfully complete what she needs will be appreciated. She has about 6 classes she's got to do. I think she's most worried about Algerbra & Chemestry---these are taught from a medical standpoint.

Prayers are definitely with Quicher to help her through the tough time. We know she can do it...she has the Force on her side, too!

J. is a coworker whose young (30y/o) husband, S., was diagnosed with a very aggressive lymphoma. Though the statistics are good in that this cancer has an 80% cure rate, he is in very serious, life threatening condition now. He's had one chemo cycle, has been on a ventilator ("life support") for 3 weeks now; his kidneys have failed and they've started dialysis (removing 60 pounds of fluid in the first days!). J & S have two children under 5. Unfortunately, life support will be withdrawn this week after S's family arrives to say good bye. The situation for this young man has gone from bad to much worse with multiple bowel perforations discovered this week. Please continue prayers for him and his family in this terrible time.

Definitely praying for comfort and solace to all their family during this difficult time. It sounds like a very difficult situation and we all continue to hope and pray for all involved.

Thank you all for continued prayers for J & S. S's bowel perforations have been found to be healing on their own, with one exception. He's having repeated surgeries to clean out the abdomen and he is holding on. The decision to move to comfort care and withdraw life support has been postponed.

Wow...
Master Kai, that's encouraging news but I know it's still tough. I cannot even imagine... Yes, I will pray for this family and also for your friend having surgery next week.
Darcu, glad to hear your good news. Continued prayers for your treatment, and we'll look forward to seeing you in Atlanta.
Jan-Qui, prayers going out for Quicher. My husband is in grad school (at 58) and had a grueling summer semester so we can empathize. Prayers for her success.
And Cem-Ji, continued prayers for your work situation.
Continued prayers for many others in the health, work, and family situations that have been posted here and in other threads and on other boards.
Blessings, Karyn

I hope that J and S have benefited from the extra time, always the most difficult thing to find and have when life takes these turns.

Thank you all. S is still critical and still on a vent, but he has stabilized. Thank you for your continued thoughts and prayers.
Prayers for all others.

My friend having the kidney removed is now home from the hospital after 9 days. She had a bigger surgery than originally planned but seems to be on the mend. Thank you again for your thoughts and prayers.

The sad saga of J & S has come to a close. S got dramatically worse this past week. Life support was withdrawn today and he died moments later. So, please add prayers for this 30y/o young widow with 2 children 6 and 4 years. So very tragic. She is, herself, a cancer survivor (cervical).

More tragedy. A young woman I know from SCA (Knight, Pelican & Duchess of Caid) had life support withdrawn today. She died of complications of H1 N1 (Swine Flu).

That's terrible, Kai! Very sorry for the loss. They've only started vaccinations for H1 N1 last week.
