I'll be praying, Himiko. My dad got an e-mail from his stepsister up in Washington, and his dad (my grandpa) just caught pneumonia. He's already been battling cancer for a while, and it doesn't look like he'll last much longer. I need prayer for my dad that he'll get through this. He's also been sick with a nasty cold and missing work.

Alright guys. I need thoughts and prayers for myself. I just went to my Orthapedic Specilast for lower back pains on friday this week (the other day) and I got my MRI results.
I have been dignosed with Degenerated Disk Disease Lumbosacral-no Myelopathy. So I guess in english my lower disk is messed up. I have right now to try and help it 4 -5 weeks of physical thearpy. If that dosen't work He told me I will be given an ivy and meds to sedate me as they inject cortozone into my spine/back. From there I didn't ask.. but I am hoping the thearpy fixes my problem.

Himiko, I've included you in my prayers. Keep your chin up and have you searched this problem online? Perhaps you can find a forum for that where you can get some advice and answers. Godspeed!

Oh, so sorry to hear about the back problem. But it's good they know what it is. It always worse when they don't. Good luck with the physical therapy. Think like a Jedi and work hard at it.

Well ... The "surgery" is scheduled for March 8th. What is being done is called Nucleoplasty. We hope this will give her feeling back in her calves and feet.
May the Force be with US.

My prayers and thoughts are with you both, as well. "Minimally-invasive" sounds better than other alternatives.

You will also be in my prayers for your back. May I please ask for everyones prayers also for a problem I'm having at the present time. My mother is ill & I'm simply in need of some prayerful support during this time. Thank you.

I just realized that I had not you dated most of you on our status, Here is where she is at in her own words ....
Well, hello my friends! I want to say thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers that were with me on Wed. morning while I underwent the discogram for my back. Unfortunately it wasn't a funky dance with a spinning ball. It was a diagnostic test to give them more information about the herniated disc. The procedure was about 35 min, and seemed to go well. I was disappointed that it wasn't the discnucleoplasty that I thought it was. I guess I misunderstood the procedure, because all of the literature was about the nucleoplasty which, I think they still may do, but I won't know until my appointment on March 21st. So I am still in a lot of pain, and it looks like the pain, weakness and numbness I have been experiencing will continue. Needless to say this really bums me out, because the last week has been really hard, and now it looks like it'll just continue. So please keep me in your thoughts and prayers. i will up-date you as I find out more. Your Friend, Danine
