The Cestus Deception............ enjoyed it quite a bit. Nice twists and turns, layered plot, much Obi-Wan...............

just finished "Shatterpoint". heavy action. impressive fight scenes (I'D LOVE to see some of these on film: WOW) down, dirty, and dark Force Play. very interesting read. Mace could almost replace Obi-Wan as my fav Jedi.
I was much like him when younger........more like Obi-Wan now.

Ah, now "I, Jedi" I've read. Not bad. I can see why people like it. Corran is a likeable and entertaining character, but first person narrative isn't my favorite. Also, it has been dated a little by the prequels. The Jedi turned out to be much more monastic than the EU assumed before 1999.

True, but they didn't know that with most records having been lost or destroyed.

plum forgot to post my finishing I,Jedi. I finished it the day after my last post.....stayed up to do it.
I really liked it. First person point of view was a bit hard to get used to, but I think it worked well for the storyline....Ending could have been a bit longer and involved. Had a bit of the "I've run out of time so I'll just have the big guy come along and solve it all."
+++++++++++++++++++++++ On the Cestus Deception: I'd be interested in a storyline that depicts what happened to Jangotat's child. It would be interesting.

forgot to mention I read all three of the prequel books in the Fall last year. Gave me a new perspective into the movies. =======================================================
Just finished "The Ruins of Dantooine" not bad. a bit too much foreplay before the main event, but I enjoyed it. took only about 4 hours to read....easy book.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
gonna start "Survivor's Quest" now.

Well. In the last month I read the 5 book Hitchiker's Guide series (never did before though I can't think why). Really enjoyed Adams' humor. I got the 2 part series of Spock vs. Q on CD and laughed out loud on the train....though that's normal for NYC I also read Outbound FLight by Zahn: I enjoyed the story alot. Very goo background on Thrawn and who he was, why he was working for Palpitane, etc........ HMmmm. Fresh out of books for now......at least Sci-Fi books. well onto some other mileu for awhile.......
