sorry I missed this thread re the book...
A couple things I found interesting:
It is noted that Anakin's tunic and pants are now black...
Sifo Dyas ordered the clones.......a detail that was killing me this whole time...
The very vague reference to Padme's pregnancy by Bail Organa...
soooooo many small details.....
the probablility that Anakin's mind was messed with as he was given his Vader "life suit"....like what was done to Grevious.......

One of the things that has bothered me thorughout the reading of most Clone Wars novels is how the Jedi -- especially Obi -- seem to be "protecting" Anakin.
"As the Chosen One, was he destined to fulfill both the title and the prophecy? Was he immune to real harm, or -- as someone born to restore balance to the Force -- did he require defenders to guide him to that destiny? Was it Obi-Wan's duty -- more, the duty of all the Jedi -- to see to it that he survived at all costs?"

The Sith alchemy chemicals running through the suit probably whacked hsi head up. Notto mention the trama the injuries caused and ole' Palpatine messing with hsi mind when he was at a point fo weakness. In essance Paly was brainwashing the kkid. Making hm think he was better and everyone was out to get 'em and maybe setting hings up so it'd appear that way.
How many of us when we were teens said the same things Anikandid, well something similar.
"They'er holding meback. They are all agaisnt me. I can do this!" etc. Or know teens who DO talk this way. I knwo one.

I'm about a hundred pages in and am noticing this already. Some interesting insights into how Obi-Wan sometimes feels about Anakin. Spoiler, highlight to read... "Maybe Qui-Gon should have left you on Tatooine"

Finished it, WOW & WOW! You really should read this BEFORE Ep III! What a nicely twisted plot!

Lots more detail on the Jedi not sensing the Sith/Dark Side and why. Half way through.

OK, I know this is an old thread, but there is something that's bugging me, so I thought I'd ask for feedback..... I really liked the book and how it tied up a lot of loose ends and also explained the joke about "that business on Cato Neimoidia" in ROTS. Then I saw the Clone Wars cartoons for the first time a couple of weeks ago. What's bugging me is that the plots of Attack of Coruscant/Kidnapping of Palpatine seemed so different, specifically what Obi-Wan and Anakin were doing right up to that... chasing Dooku vs. rescuing the steroid-infused kitty-warriors. I know that the SW universe is fraught with inconsistency in details (Uncle Owen is Obi-Wan's brother; later he is Anakin's stepbrother, etc.) but most of these are due to storyline "tweaks" over the years. But since these two stories came out in a reasonably close time frame, I wonder how other people look at this? Personally, I prefer the LOE storyline. Nothing against the "kitty people" (I am a cat person after all and "mom" of 3 kitty Jawas ) but that story and most of the Clone Wars series seemed more geared toward kids. I did enjoy the documentary about tying Clone Wars to ROTS, but LOE seemed to "fit better". Maybe I'm missing something.... Also, I realize this may have been discussed already in another thread (which I haven't found), and if so I apologize in advance. Thanks for your thoughts, Kryy

Oh I agree with you. I take LOE to be what really happened, and the Clone Wars cartoon as "rumor has it" as to what happened

Cor-Al, Sounds like a good plan. You know, I'm remembering parts of the book I really liked, so I think I'm going to pick it up and read it again. BTW, I've tried to get in the "Prayers & Meditations" thread several times, but I'm on dial-up at home (gasp ) and there are apparently about 20 people viewing that thread. So I'll hijack this thread for a moment to say I'm praying for your surgery tomorrow and we all look forward to hearing from you when you're up to it. Blessings and MTFBWY, Kryy

Yeah, the kitty people (lol) were ok, not my favorite part of that series, and the prophecy by the kitty godfather was interesting... the leech-like, chest painting things were intriguing, as was that whole cave painting thing... But, yeah, Labyrinth of Evil is a much better lead into RotS!! I usually just try to see the threads of contunuity, and overlook the stuff that's inconsistant.

You are right -- the prophecy and cave painting thing were the better parts of Clone Wars.
It probably comes down in this case to "geared toward kids" vs. "geared toward adults". LOE has the detail and humor that adults tend to crave, whereas Clone Wars has the fast action and super-hero stuff that appeals more to kids.
