The food capsules on my belt were really cheap. I couldnt find the correct ones locally in the UK and I wasnt about to order them so I went to the local shop. They had a pack of 10 biro pens. The colours you see are the original colours the pens were, a variety of mettalic colours (silver, gold, green, pink). All I did was trim them to length. The ribbing is where the grip for the pen was. Cost me £1 for the 10. As the clip is plastic it can break so I bought an extra pack for spares.
I'll probably replace them with better ones at some point but you cant beat them if your on a budget. ;D

I mentioned it once in another thread, but there is an easy way to do capsules. I did mine from the pen caps from the Paper-Mate Erasable Pens. You don't know how many of those I now go through a school year, so I have caps to use. Anyways, what I did was use some modelling clay to create the bottom "cap" of the capsules and then also used clay to fill in the gap where the eraser was. Several (like, oh I dunno...5 or 6...) coats of Krylon spray paint later and they look fairly good. (I currently only have 6, 3 gold and 3 silver.) I'll have to do a pic of just the belt w/ my capsules and my home-made comlink.

Sionna, That sounds like a good idea. It'd give 'em some weight. How long does it take for the clay to dry completely before you paint it?
Yeah I DO know how many pens one can go through in a school year. man, I went through a lot. Ughh. College is worse, maybe one or two bags. that's a LOT of pen caps. Now I've a use for them :-D :-)
I like the varying types of capsules. Each world probably has differant types. Emertia's are functional, Now how she does made 'em I have NO clue. I don't know if the bottoms screw on or not, it's defiantly a good idea.

Well, since it was Crayola Modeling Clay..it doesn't necessarily need to dry. It hardens over time, so one you have it in place you can basically paint it immediately. I think I'm gonna do more soon. My only suggestion is to use more clay on the bottom to pack up into the pen cap...and use glue. Since I didn't use that much clay on the inside of the cap, the bottoms keep coming loose, so I've been gluing them to keep them in place.
Oh, and I know about college and going through pens- I'm in the IB program (which for those who don't know is basically college in high school). I go through like four or five packages of paper in like a bunch of pens every year.
