My hubby makes fun of me all the time because I'm a SW geek and I'm weird! He always askes it theres a support group forum for spouses of jedi! He's not trying to be mean or anything, he's just not into it. I'd have to knock him out to dress him up in a costume on any other day than halloween. But he used to be really into halloween...he's had quite few great costumes (even shaved his legs for one :Pbut he'll never live it down). What's odd is that the more effort I put into my costumes, the less he puts into his. Pre 9/11 his standard costume was a terrorist...not a good idea these days! Last Oct he was Neo from the Matrix, but people thought he was a dectective...kinda like wearing a bathrobe and fishing boots and calling yourself a jedi. This year I'm making him be that evil creature from Galaxy Quest(I forget his name), the one with all the spikes! And what, I ask, makes sci fi fans different from sports fans who decorate themselves and their homes and cars in team logos and colors? Yet people bust on me all the time for bein' a sci-fi chick! I'm just waiting for the day when I can whip out my lightsaber, flick it on a a REAL beam comes out! Then I could say "see...I TOLD you it was real!!!!" ...no, I'm not weird...really, I'm not.... It's all about marching to your own drummer as the saying goes...and your own band... well I got my very own parade....All Jedi please join in!!!! ;D ;D ;D I'll shut up now...

YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
IT'S RAINING HERE IN ILLINOIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We are in a fairly serious drought situation here in my neck of Illinois ....I am a Master Gardener for Will County and usually all pumped up to plant in spring...but with the total lack of rain that we have had....I have not been exactly excited about planting...
I am PUMPED now....funny what a little rain will do!
Thanks Mom Nature!

[glow=blue,3,0000]My random thoughts for the day:
I'm baaaaaack! And more annoying than ever. My shoulder hurts. Saurus (sp?) is cool. He's big and green, and has a cool gun. [/glow]

*grins* The poem just so happens to be set in the Star Wars universe... ;D I think I'll stick it up as soon as I go through and make sure I have nothing left to edit.
